HIGHLIGHTS

  • Savor the sights of Yangon's eclectic downtown during your private, guided, discovery walk. Rich with colonial buildings, mostly decaying with ragged facades, the streets are filled with locals, fragrant spice markets and ad-hoc roadside vendors. While important religious sites gleam with gold nearby.

  • Spend an afternoon wandering through Pindaya, a pretty country town nestled in the Shan Hills, and home to the ethnic Danu community.  Enjoy a lunch made from tasty home-grown produce and lovingly prepared by a local family.

  • Spend the day in a long-boat on Inle Lake. Explore the Pa-O village of Indein and it's hillside of crumbling pagodas, the lake's stilted villages and some of the impressive traditional hand-crafts made there.

  • Explore Inwa by traditional horse-drawn cart. Long abandoned as the Royal Capital of the 3rd Burmese Empire following a series of devastating earthquakes, there remains a ghostly collection of impressive structures that have so far withstood the test of time.

  • Visit the pretty colonial hill-station of Pyin Oo Lyin and it's magnificent botanical gardens.

  • The plains of Bagan are vast. While many fascinating temples lie in clusters. Explore the ancient plateau, on foot, by bicycle, or by car, with your local guide by your side.
